I’m thrilled to share my incredible experience at the 42nd Annual Coney Island Mermaid Parade. This year’s parade was nothing short of magical, filled with vibrant costumes, creative floats, and an atmosphere brimming with excitement and creativity. A Day of Creativity and Celebration
The Coney Island Mermaid Parade is a unique celebration that brings together thousands of participants and spectators, all embracing the spirit of creativity and fun. This year, I had the privilege of documenting the entire parade, from its kickoff on Surf Avenue to its conclusion at the historic Riegelmann Boardwalk. With over 1900 photos taken, selecting my top favorites was a challenge, but it was a labor of love.
The Parade’s Spectacular Highlights
The parade featured a dazzling array of costumes and floats, each more imaginative than the last. From giant sea serpents to intricately designed mermaid tails, the artistry on display was truly breathtaking.
