About Life of Agony

Life of Agony is a band with a rich history and a dedicated fan base. Formed in 1989 by Mina Caputo, Alan Robert, and Joey Z., the band gained a following with their powerful debut album, “River Runs Red,” released in 1993. Known for their emotionally charged lyrics and intense performances, they have been a staple of the alternative metal scene for decades. Over the years, they have continued to evolve, releasing several influential albums, including “Ugly,” “Soul Searching Sun,” and “The Sound of Scars.”

New Music Alert: “The Crow (In Memory of B.L.)”

In a heartfelt tribute to Brandon Lee, the late actor from the cult classic film “The Crow,” Life of Agony has released a powerful new song, “The Crow (In Memory of B.L.)”. This track is a continuation of the band’s tradition of paying homage to the films that shaped their youth. “The Crow (In Memory of B.L.)” was recorded in New York City at the legendary Sear Sound studio and The Nest Studio in Long Island. Produced and mixed by guitarist Joey “Z” Zampella and mastered by Grammy Award winner Howie Weinberg, the song reflects the band’s deep emotional connection to the 1994 film and the tragic legacy of Brandon Lee.

Alan Robert, the band’s bassist, shares, “There’s something very special about the original ‘Crow’ that made it timeless… Brandon Lee was killed the year we did our first album ‘River Runs Red,’ and by the time ‘The Crow’ came out in ’94, he was already a legend. His tragic death deeply affected us.”

The music video for “The Crow (In Memory of B.L.)”, directed by Derek Soto of Sinestra Studios, captures the haunting spirit of the song. Watch the full video on YouTube to experience the powerful visuals and the band’s tribute to Brandon Lee.
