Littermates, a horror film from Minnesota writer-director Scott Tinkham and filmmaker Michael Woloson, opens Friday, Nov. 6, at Alamo Drafthouse theaters in New York and at least 11 other cities, according to publicist EG PR. Each city gets a full-week run.
The release is part of Drafthouse Exclusives, the theater chain’s program that distributes independent films only on its own screens.
The story
Two survivors of an unexplained war, Liam (Joey Bader) and Mel (Kaylee McGregor), turn up bloodied and unable to speak at a cottage in the English countryside. A caretaker named Chester (Oliver Woolf) takes them in. He bathes them, feeds them and teaches them to talk again.
Life in the cottage runs on a reward system. Good behavior earns “nifties,” which buy karaoke, hot tub time, dance parties and favorite meals. Sirens and smoke get closer outside. Liam goes along with the rules. Mel keeps looking at the woods and the locked gate.
The publicist bills it as “absurdist horror.” It runs 88 minutes.
Festival record
According to the release, the film was a 2026 Fantastic Fest selection, won the audience award for narrative feature at DWF 2026 and took the jury prize for feature at the Manchester Film Festival 2026.
Tinkham’s short 24 Hours After Reading Tuesdays with Morrie premiered at SXSW in 2025, with Woloson as cinematographer and producer.
What the release does not say
It doesn’t name which New York Alamo locations are showing the film, give showtimes or ticket prices, or say whether the film has a rating. Check the Alamo Drafthouse site for New York listings.
