Saturday Night Lights stays on
The Department of Youth and Community Development is extending a $64,286 contract with The Boys Club of New York for Saturday Night Lights.
The program offers free sports and fitness training for ages 11 to 18. The notice says sites were picked using crime data, some near precincts ranked among the city’s 30 with the most shootings.
DYCD says the extension keeps services running on the same terms, and that current providers have performed satisfactorily.
The money moving
- $460,000 — DYCD to OGC Electrical Contractor Inc for ongoing electrical and lighting maintenance. M/WBE noncompetitive small purchase, so no open bid.
- $255,000 — NYPD renews Nicholas Mattia & Associates to serve as technical leader for the department’s Firearms Analysis Section. First renewal.
What the notices do not say
The Saturday Night Lights notice doesn’t list which neighborhoods or gyms are covered. The DYCD electrical notice doesn’t say which buildings get the work.
