City notices published Oct. 20 through Oct. 23 lay out seven proposed human-services and support contracts, led by $2.49 million for shelter case management and aftercare citywide, plus a Business Solutions Center for Manhattan and Washington Heights and armed security for the Board of Elections’ Bronx office.
Most of the public comment windows closed before this post ran. One, for snow removal at homeless shelters, stays open until Nov. 30.
Snow removal for DHS: $250,000, comments still open
The Department of Homeless Services proposes U Arias Corporation of New Hyde Park for on-call snow removal, worth up to $250,000 from Nov. 1, 2026, through Oct. 31, 2028.
It is an M/WBE noncompetitive small purchase. The comment deadline falls a month after the term begins, so the first flurries may arrive before the public’s last word.
